wendy has a great friending meme right now, but with the new Fall 2007 tv season about to start in the US, it's probably a good time for a general-interest tv-inspired friending meme, too.

Last night, I was thinking about how a year or so ago, some people on my flist were looking forward to the first season of Studio 60 and others were squeeing about the Heroes pilot, and some were wondering what would happen on House, or SPN, or any one of a dozen other shows - and now a new fall season is just around the corner and dvds of last season are hitting stores with regularity, so please participate and pimp, regardless of where you live, or even if you own a tv set! If you're interested in any currently-airing shows, this meme is for you!

Ooh, can I give you the long answer?

It's a toss-up among MANY. :D The original Star Trek theme and the Monkees theme make my inner child really really happy. I also like the Law & Order theme song, because when my son was a baby/toddler he ADORED it and perked up whenever he heard it; he'd grin and bop to it and OMG *loves*.

Current favorite tv show theme song, though, is either the Las Vegas theme song (Elvis! Woo!) or the Stargate Atlantis theme song. The latter is instrumental, but that does not stop my whole family from wailing along with it like a bunch of happy geeks.

Short answer: Law and Order theme song, for the reason noted above. :)

I will absolutely never watch... Survivor. At first, I just didn't bother. Now, it's a badge of honor and I become more and more gleeful about the fact I am probably the only person on the planet with a tv and CBS that has never watched more than five minutes of a program.

This season, I'm looking forward to these new shows: Pushing Daisies, Chuck, Dirty Sexy Money, Viva Laughlin (musical fan here), The IT Crowd, Gossip Girl, KVille, Private Practice, Bionic Woman and I'm willing to follow fandom/critical reviews to check out the good new shows as missing Heroes for half a season taught me a lesson.

If I had to recommend two shows from last season that are coming back this year, they'd be: THE OFFICE and Heroes.
If I had to recommend two shows that aren't airing anymore but which can be obtained via DVD or (ideally legal) download, they'd be: FIREFLY (still best show ever) and Arrested Development (hilarious, brilliant, quirky characters, continuity and never stops being quality)
I will absolutely never watch CSI, Law and Order and most reality shows.
I'd like to pimp the community/communities at: vidding General vidding community where many vidders post there vids. veni_vidi_vids a roundup of vid meta, vid recs and other vidding related things along with lists of vids. metafandom for interesting discussion of fandom in general from intelligent thoughts, debates, polls and more. Good way to stay on top of fandom as a whole.

My favorite episode(s) from last season on those shows is/are: Eek! Heroes: Company Man and Five Years Gone, SPN: In My Time of Dying and All Hell Breaks Loose Pts 1&2,DW: The Sound of Drums, and I don't know if I had a clear favorite from the other shows
My favorite character(s)/pairing(s) from last season on those shows is/are: All of them? I'm not picky about my characters/ships, it's usually whatever is shiny and catches my eye, I love all of the cast usually for one reason or another.

I will absolutely never watch... (Either something that's already on, or something that's starting this fall) I usually never say never . . . because sometimes the shows I dislike the most I get sucked into watching and later love . . . but I probably won't be watching any VH1 Celeb Reality shows any time soon.
I'd like to pimp the community/communities at: I think that ninth_wonders and spnnewsletter both do a great job compiling a great resource for the Heroes and Supernatural fandoms respectively. I also think spnroundtable is great for discussions about Supernatural, recs and getting to know the creative people (writers/vidders/artists) in the fandom.
I also... read fic, write fic, create vids, watch vids, read meta, and usually do a reaction post and/or a quick recap with my thoughts on episodes for the shows I watch. Sometimes I picspam, too (under a cut, though).

My journal is: generally worksafe outside of cuts, under cuts most definitely NOT. I post NC-17 fic sometimes. But images and fics that are higher rated are always behind a cut.
You also should know that I.... Am really bad about commenting, but I always read every entry on my friends-list. I'm more likely to comment on fandom related stuff until I know someone well enough to comment on other things. Oh! And I'm a spoiler-phobe right now (always subject to change, however. *g*).
