Fall 2007 TV Season-Inspired Friending Meme

wendy has a great friending meme right now, but with the new Fall 2007 tv season about to start in the US, it's probably a good time for a general-interest tv-inspired friending meme, too.

Last night, I was thinking about how a year or so ago, some people on my flist were looking forward to the first season of Studio 60 and others were squeeing about the Heroes pilot, and some were wondering what would happen on House, or SPN, or any one of a dozen other shows - and now a new fall season is just around the corner and dvds of last season are hitting stores with regularity, so please participate and pimp, regardless of where you live, or even if you own a tv set! If you're interested in any currently-airing shows, this meme is for you!

This season, I'm looking forward to these new shows: Pushing Daisies and Journeyman
This season, I'm planning on continuing to watch: Supernatural, Heroes, Ugly Betty, Bones, Project Runway, Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Dexter
My favorite episode(s) from last season on those shows is/are: Eek! Heroes: Company Man and Five Years Gone, SPN: In My Time of Dying and All Hell Breaks Loose Pts 1&2,DW: The Sound of Drums, and I don't know if I had a clear favorite from the other shows
My favorite character(s)/pairing(s) from last season on those shows is/are: All of them? I'm not picky about my characters/ships, it's usually whatever is shiny and catches my eye, I love all of the cast usually for one reason or another.
If I had to recommend two shows from last season that are coming back this year, they'd be: Heroes, Dexter (and SPN, too!)
If I had to recommend two shows that aren't airing anymore but which can be obtained via DVD or (ideally legal) download, they'd be: Rome and Life on Mars
I will absolutely never watch... (Either something that's already on, or something that's starting this fall) I usually never say never . . . because sometimes the shows I dislike the most I get sucked into watching and later love . . . but I probably won't be watching any VH1 Celeb Reality shows any time soon.
I'd like to pimp the community/communities at: I think that ninth_wonders and spnnewsletter both do a great job compiling a great resource for the Heroes and Supernatural fandoms respectively. I also think spnroundtable is great for discussions about Supernatural, recs and getting to know the creative people (writers/vidders/artists) in the fandom.
I also... read fic, write fic, create vids, watch vids, read meta, and usually do a reaction post and/or a quick recap with my thoughts on episodes for the shows I watch. Sometimes I picspam, too (under a cut, though).
In my LJ, I also talk about... RL, music, football, random things
My journal is: generally worksafe outside of cuts, under cuts most definitely NOT. I post NC-17 fic sometimes. But images and fics that are higher rated are always behind a cut.
You also should know that I.... Am really bad about commenting, but I always read every entry on my friends-list. I'm more likely to comment on fandom related stuff until I know someone well enough to comment on other things. Oh! And I'm a spoiler-phobe right now (always subject to change, however. *g*).

I'm not normally spoiler-phobic, but for some reason this year, I'm actively avoiding them. I won't flip if I hear something - I've learned a few SPN episode titles - but I'm not hunting them down.

This is the first year I've wanted to be absolutely unspoiled on all my shows. I've heard some casting spoilers for Heroes, but that's about it. Considering some of the reactions going around I think this was a smart move this year. *g*

Hmmmm. I think my favorite TV theme was Veronica Mars (especially the first season, it really was a great theme for the entire premise of the show).

I definitely agree that Five Years Gone and Company Man were the best episodes from the last season of Heroes. Also, Dexter wins as one of the most brilliant TV shows ever.

Those two episodes of Heroes just seemed to sum up perfectly what I love about that show, by the time they were over I wondered where the hour went!

I just started watching Dexter not long ago but I am hooked. It's just amazing and brilliant. I'd love to have someone else on my friend's list who watches both shows. Mind if I friend you?

There were other episodes that were brilliant, though, and some that were not-so-brilliant (the season finale, *cough*), but yes, Five Years Gone especially, but also Company Man, were just exactly what I wanted to see in the show, and I hope Season Two manages to bring more of the same.

Dexter almost pains me to watch sometimes... it's so good, so perfectly well done, that it makes my insides squirm because I can't figure out if I love Dexter or hate him, and the show just plays so perfectly on the fact that the audience is absolutely enamored by this man who's such a sociopath :D.

I used to be such a spoiler fan, but I have really been avoiding them lately. I was unspoiled for the last half of SPN and I loved it. I'm going to try my best this year too.

Also, yay for Dexter. I was surprised by how much I love that show.

I'm a reformed spoiler addict as well. Then last year I went spoiler-free for the last half of the shows I watch and I was amazed at how awesome it was to be surprised. I'm going to try this year to go the whole season, too.

Dexter is made of complete win. I just got hooked and I'm so glad I found the show, everything about is amazing.
