Fall 2007 TV Season-Inspired Friending Meme

wendy has a great friending meme right now, but with the new Fall 2007 tv season about to start in the US, it's probably a good time for a general-interest tv-inspired friending meme, too.

Last night, I was thinking about how a year or so ago, some people on my flist were looking forward to the first season of Studio 60 and others were squeeing about the Heroes pilot, and some were wondering what would happen on House, or SPN, or any one of a dozen other shows - and now a new fall season is just around the corner and dvds of last season are hitting stores with regularity, so please participate and pimp, regardless of where you live, or even if you own a tv set! If you're interested in any currently-airing shows, this meme is for you!

This season, I'm looking forward to these new shows: K-Ville, um, oh god, I'm blanking. There's more, I know! Maybe Bionic Woman (YAY! Miguel!) and...yes, I will end up watching many I suspect.

This season, I'm planning on continuing to watch: Heroes, House, Who, Torchwood (okay rewatching but SHUSH I didn't tell you that), Shark, Numb3rs, Supernatural, MAYBE Smallville (The good Chloe and/or Oliver eps), whatever occurs to me.

My favorite episode(s) from last season on those shows is/are: Um, *points up* that's an awful lot of episodes. Okay, hrm, Justice from SV continues to be a favorite. But, yeah, loved a lot *G*

My favorite character(s)/pairing(s) from last season on those shows is/are: I multiship. I have many pairings from each show. It all depends on how the 'shippy moves (I lean toward slash/het/femslash so really, lots of combinations)

If I had to recommend two shows from last season that are coming back this year, they'd be: Heroes and Shark.

If I had to recommend two shows that aren't airing anymore but which can be obtained via DVD or (ideally legal) download, they'd be: hrm. Dresden Files (omg squee), and Jake 2.0. Sci Fi had Jake reairing lately but I don't know if they still do or not. *is Canadian* Oh! Yeah! Pretender. Parker/Jarod for the WIN.

I will absolutely never watch... Survivor. At first, I just didn't bother. Now, it's a badge of honor and I become more and more gleeful about the fact I am probably the only person on the planet with a tv and CBS that has never watched more than five minutes of a program.

I'd like to pimp the community/communities at:girlgate - meta comm for stargate and stargate: atlantis femslash, superhero_muses - a meta comm for DCU. Come, read the discussion on sex pollen fic! occhallenge and genderbenderfic the last two are multifandom fic comms.

I also... read fic, write fic, rec fic, create fanart, enjoy fanart, rec fanart, watch vids, read meta, occasionally create meta. Yeah, pretty much that. *G*

In my LJ, I also talk about... Whatever pops into my VERY insane brain. *G*

favorite all time? oh god. Um...honestly? Las Vegas. "A Little Less Conversation" but that's because it's one of my favorite Elvis tunes. Other than that? I vastly adore the Stargate theme song.

(YEP. As far as I know, he's supposed to be back. Justin's tv gig fell through - last I heard - which means he has the time. And, er, he's not the only one showing up. But, um, that's extra spoilers *G*)

Jake 2.0! Awww, I just recently watched that. So adorable and sweet. Such a shame they didn't get a chance to finish the season.

oh god it is! I just found a few eps I hadn't seen yet (the ones that hadn't aired first time around) and I fell in love all over again. They need it on DVD now *G*

I think the best part of the show is the characters. They're all so lovable, especially Jake and his dork-tastic-ness. ♥

They really, really do. I keep thinking that with Silvio's success with Ugly Betty, they should see the marketing opportunity there. (I also wish they'd put The Chronicle on DVD, but I doubt that'll ever happen. *sigh*)

That's pretty much when I watch Smallville anymore too. Do you know if Oliver will even be back this fall?

More episodes like Justice would be nice, too...

Yay! That show had so much promise. Also Paul Blackthorne is hot. Have you read the books?

As far as I know, Ollie will be back for a while. They've got some interesting plotlines afoot on the JLA, Clark side of things. Can't say the same for the romance side but...um, the spoilers for the rest of it intrigue me.

Oh god, I ADORE Paul. And I've read three of them so far. NEEEED to get the others!

Hah, I just realized I caught you at both friending memes. *dork*

SV romance generally does zip for me, but when they sideline the romance and focus on the wacky superheroey action stuff, I love it. I'm especially glad Oliver will be back! His eps were my favorites last season. And more JLA is awesome.

Paul, SRSLY, guh. The show changed a lot from the books, including character personalities and appearances in a lot of cases, but as far as Paul's version of Harry, he just nailed book!Harry for me.

The change I liked the most: Bob. Glowy talking skull probably wouldn't have worked nearly as well on screen; but Terrance Mann was genius. Also, the Harry/Bob subtext, while not something I get from the books, was v. nice on the show. Am very bummed SciFi cancelled it so quickly.

And the books. *LOVE* So far book 7 is my favorite. But there's not one that I dislike, either.
