So, what have I been doing since I watched the final David Tennant episode of Doctor Who?

Vidding. And weeping a bit while rewatching.

TITLE: Farewell to Ten, the Doctor Who Remix

MUSIC: Blame it on the Pop, the 2009 Remix by DJ Earworm - all songs included in the remix are listed below

RATING: PG

GENRE: Mash-up.

NOTES: In December of 2009, DJ Earworm released a remix of the top 25 songs in the US from 2009. I heard it the day before the last episode of Doctor Who starring David Tennant was set to air, and I knew from the first notes that I needed to do a vid about the Tenth Doctor set to this amazing mix of songs. It's my homage to Ten, his companions, his rivals and enemies.

So many thanks to [personal profile] longtimegone for sitting with me through the editing process - you are invaluable!

There's a wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey mash-up under the cut... )

Also - I am not sure which DW coms I should post this to. Suggestions?

Title: Nine Get Over Excited

Song: "Five Get Over Excited" by The Housemartins

Summary: Fun! Fun! Fun! That's life, the universe and everything (with a nod to Doug Adams) for the Doctor and his companions in the new Doctor Who series. Sort of.

Spoilers: for seasons 1 - 4.

Download: .mov version on Megaupload

Watch it on YouTube behind the cut )

Notes: I've been waiting all season to do this vid; after the end of S4 it took me a few days to recuperate but then in re-watching S4, and selected episodes from 1-3, I re-embraced the "fun" of the companions, and others who move in and out of the Doctor's orbit - even when the fun doesn't seem very fun at all.

Tiny spoiler for TW S2 finale, as well as, obviously, for this ep of DW.

There's a storm outside my window... )

Dear John Barrowman:
You are dorkier than I ever thought possible! And I love you so much for it! Filking! So woobie.

Huh. Does this mean that John kripke-d my vid?

Title: Almost Like a Prophecy

Music:
The Wizard and I, originally from Wicked, but as sung by John Barrowman at last year's A Musical Christmas

Details:
This is one of the songs I have listened to most in the last year, but it wasn't until the end of S3 of Doctor Who that it really resonated for me as a perfect Jack Harkness song - and I've wondered how much John knew about the plot of S3 of DW when he sang it last November.

Spoilers for all of Torchwood to date, and for S1 and S3 of Doctor Who.

Dedicated to [livejournal.com profile] ignipes on the occasion of her birthday - please note that the vid specifically includes boys in cages, for her (and your) viewing enjoyment - and [livejournal.com profile] rookie131 as she spent today having contractions and is a few days from her due date and needed a distraction!

Yes, I am still getting the backlog of vids that live in my brain into a more share-able format. Taking the weekend off to go to Orlando and pondering what to do next. Not sure about whether I want to do something as a multifandom vid, or do two or possibly even three vids - one for each fandom - to the same song.
