So, what have I been doing since I watched the final David Tennant episode of Doctor Who?

Vidding. And weeping a bit while rewatching.

NOTES: In December of 2009, DJ Earworm released a remix of the top 25 songs in the US from 2009. I heard it the day before the last episode of Doctor Who starring David Tennant was set to air, and I knew from the first notes that I needed to do a vid about the Tenth Doctor set to this amazing mix of songs. It's my homage to Ten, his companions, his rivals and enemies.

Isn't it mind-blowing, what he did? On his website, he wrote this:

so many of the pop songs this year seem to tell the same story: Yeah, we’ve been through a lot, but right now we’re gonna celebrate with music and dance, and it’s gonna be ok.

And that's how I needed to feel when I heard the song and broke into tears, and I had to vid to it.

I am going to miss him - but doing this vid was almost cathartic - I got to re-watch so many wonderful moments and pay such specific attention to his face. It helped.

Ohmygod, honey. that is just AMAZING. I am totally weeping here. I love that song so much, and have been totally listening it for the last week or so, and somehow, though I might have said you were crazy if you suggested it, it makes a PERFECT song for farewell to Ten.

It is such an amazing song! And I was crying too, when I watched it in final form for the first time. It's bizarre and fantastic how something that's an amalgamation of everything that 2009 was, is so fitting for Ten. But that's what DW is - it's everything, all together now.

Love! Love! Love! Love!

Mraz is just.... it's such a sublime moment in the song. That and "forever united here" because yeah, Ten is forever and always has been.

I just keep thinking about how Wilf and Martha and Mickey and Gwen are going to see the Doctor in just two and a half years at the Olympics, lighting the torch, and they'll gasp and know and it will be such a moment for all of them.

<3 to you (although this does mean a little delay in the Doctor/Master For Your Entertainment project, sorry!).

Such a lovely mix of joy, sorrow, excitement, humor, and explosions; basically everything that made me love Tenannt's run and truly makes me think of him as my Doctor. Am looking forward to Eleven, but I will miss Ten a hell of a lot. Your vid is a perfect send-off to him.

Oh! This is so wonderful and fun! We don't know eachother, but I kinda love you a whole lot right now. hee. I was linked to the remix song not too long ago and thought it was brilliant, so this song that embodies 2009 combined with a look back at the Tenth Doctor is just amazing. Fantastic concept, fantastic execution. I love it! I love how you included everyone, and not just the big moments, but some great little moments also. I've watched it 3 times so far and I predict many more watchings in the future. Wonderful!

Here from tennant_love. Love the video. You chose lots of lovely moments with all the characters. I hadn't heard that song before. It's spectacular. I liked how you aligned Poker Face with the Master becoming everyone and "boom boom pow" with the TARDIS crash land. I think I'll download it in order to catch more awesome details like that.

"Poker Face" is definitely the official song of the Master Race! And yes, the YouTube version sometimes skips a smidge, so the DL version doesn't have such problems. SO glad you enjoyed it!
