How do you make yours? How do you prefer yours?

I can still remember being at EuroDisney back in 1992 and being handed popcorn with sugar on it, and being told they had it no other way (UGH).

I do my popcorn on the stove, in a pot, with olive oil or rosemary-infused oil. I only use Orville Reddenbacher kernels and I only put sea salt (or sea salt + a Choulua chili-lime spices) on it.

Microwave popcorn is vile, and I never eat it. Air-popped is ok, with good salt and spices on it.

If I had my way, I would eat only popcorn today, in celebration and commemoration of this wonderful food!

And huh, I have a tag for popcorn? I did not remember that! (But I did just get to see the People's Choice Award ad for SPN on the CW, yay.)

I remember first trying sweet popcorn in London and... liking it. My favorite, favorite would be caramel popcorn (or butterscotch). I do prefer the sweet, although I'm fine with microwave popcorn if someone makes it (I rarely, rarely make it).

I will say working at the movie theatre for 6+ years kind of turned me off of movie popcorn. :-P THE SMELL GOES HOME WITH YOU FOREVER.
