How do you make yours? How do you prefer yours?

I can still remember being at EuroDisney back in 1992 and being handed popcorn with sugar on it, and being told they had it no other way (UGH).

I do my popcorn on the stove, in a pot, with olive oil or rosemary-infused oil. I only use Orville Reddenbacher kernels and I only put sea salt (or sea salt + a Choulua chili-lime spices) on it.

Microwave popcorn is vile, and I never eat it. Air-popped is ok, with good salt and spices on it.

If I had my way, I would eat only popcorn today, in celebration and commemoration of this wonderful food!

And huh, I have a tag for popcorn? I did not remember that! (But I did just get to see the People's Choice Award ad for SPN on the CW, yay.)

My favorite popcorn was from this gourmet popcorn shop in a random neighborhood in Orlando. They had all kinds of off flavors, but my favorite was the Cinnamon. It wasn't sweet & it wasn't caramelized sugar. It was just deliciously spicy. They also had a BBQ & Blue Cheese popcorn that was to die for.

I love popcorn best when it's air popped. With just a little bit of salt. Or Kettle Corn at a fair.

But I think most microwave popcorn AND movie theater popcorn tastes & smells like old gym socks.
