And speaking of the mid-1980s, the wonderful
jlh wrote an absolutely brilliant fic set in the Hughes-verse Sensoria, now up at Yuletide. It's Cameron Frye/Duckie Dale and it's magnificent for so many reasons. "Once you were a lonely playboy heading for a simple joy." Oak Street Beach, Chicago, summer 1986. If you've ever seen Ferris or Pretty In Pink, you owe it to yourself to read this.
And now back to modern times.
mudblood428 created some fabulous Wayne's World-esque endings for her fic After the Die Is Cast, including a Willy Wonka-style one, a Scooby Doo ending, and a delicious (to continue the theme from above) Breakfast Club ending - You don't have to have read the fic to enjoy the endings here!
Heh, I am editing instead of spamming today. So I saw on the Heroes newsletter a few discussions about ages - the producer was quoted in the NY Post saying that Claire is 16 and Peter is 30.
I can't believe that. I think the producers have gone to the JKR School of Character Age Mathematics, because while I'll buy that Nathan is anywhere between 37 and 43, I can't believe that Peter is over 27 or 28. I know there's, mathematically, only a small difference between 28 and 30, but... I just don't see it.
