Date: 2009-11-13 02:25 am (UTC)I've been on LJ ... eight years now? Something like that, joined back when you needed an invite to and no one had invites to give out. In all that time, I've only seen two total phone posts, and both of those were back when the service first started. I've never done one myself.
And when unlimited dial-up via AOL cost almost twenty bucks. For 9600 baud.
Heck with that! When AOL started offering unlimited time, I was boggling and amazed and jumped on it right away! How in the world could any company offer unlimited? When long distance calls to BBSs across the country had been just a couple years ago?
