Comic Con Squee & Flail

So the SPN panel is on Sunday at 11:45 and I went squee because my Harry Potter panel isn't until that afternoon so I wouldn't have a conflict this year.

But then today, it was announced that Doctor Who and Torchwood "are slated to make a huge crash at San Diego's Comic Con International."

Both panels are Sunday. (Doctor Who at 11AM Torchwood at 2:15PM)

Torchwood's panel is slated to include Russell T. Davies, Julie Gardner, Eros Lyn, and John Barrowman. Doctor Who's panel is said to include all of the above except John and instead they have David Tennant.


David. Tennant.

Oh, that is lovely. Gah, how in hell am I going to choose between Tennant and Supernatural?!?!?!?!?

What I will make it to, for sure, is on Saturday night, from 7:30-10:00PM - they will be airing Planet of the Dead and the final episode of Children of Earth as a double feature.

Planet of the Dead isn't an ep from last season, it's the first movie for this year and the only one that's been aired so far.

Go to the Who panel. David Tennant won't be on the show much longer, and I expect the number of chances he'll come to the States for something like this in future won't be high.

I'm having issues with the DW/TW scheduling as well. Who is in Ballroom 20, but TW is in 6CDF, following Smallville and SPN. That's going to be murder getting from one to the other, becuase I *want* to see both.

I mean really, John and David will both be there in separate panels, and I want to see both!

But I"m with you, I"ll camp out all day for the TW and Who screenings saturday night.

There is a rumor that they may release single-day tickets in two weeks, in a limited number. Will you still be in SoCal on Sunday? If so, you should keep on the alert - and I will alert you if I learn more.

No, sadly. I have to go home right after Azkatraz. I'm taking two other vacations this summer in addition to Azkatraz, and I'm rationing my vacation time. I'm going to Boston and meeting up with lizardspots and escorting her around the northeast, as well as hanging out with some other fandomers I miss from the Boston area. That will kill 8 vacation days. Then, I'm going to Dragon*Con this year. OMG.

Last year, I didn't have a seat at the SPN panel, but managed to get in anyway. Hoping for history to repeat itself.

That's what I was thinking, really. But it turns out that the DW one is at 10AM and ends at 10:45/10:50, and the SPN one starts at 11:45, and has the TW one right after, so it may be theoretically possible to go to both, if I get lucky.
