Keith just noted that Barack Obama has been president for 102 minutes! And they've all been wonderful!

I've been off LJ and on DailyKos (my diary about WhiteHouse.gov's update got recced!) and in aim chat this morning, but I had to swing by with my squee.

ARGH! When I clicked on the 'live coverage' link on msnbc.com, it directed to NBC's coverage, so I assumed that they'd combined their coverage and for reasons unknowable Keith & Rachel weren't part of the show - I just refreshed the site and found the link to MSNBC coverage and am cursing having to sit through Brian's coverage of the main event! Strangely, though, it's nowhere enough to dampen my mood!

LOL I know it's awful of me - and insulting to the few people in Texas who are liberals - but as Dubya was getting on the helicopter to leave all I could think was, "GO BACK TO TEXAS WHERE YOU BELONG." :P And I lived there for a short time, so I think I'm allowed to say that. :P

FYI, Texas has far more than a "few" liberals! Harris county, which is the 4th largest county in the *country,* went for Obama and was blue overall. Dallas county, Travis county (Austin) and big parts of the Valley went blue. Texas will be blue as a state in another decade.

We are not a "few" scattered liberals, and we do NOT want Dubya back!!!

I Just bawled on the phone to my mother (She does more Juvenile Justice-Mental Health stuff While I do general Transition aged stuff for MH and a little DD) over the Ethics, Disability, and Education pages. She was chanting to my little nice, "President Obama! We have a new President!" and holding her up to the phone and talking about her smiling at the words.

My Niece is going to grow up in a different world, hopefully, than I did. Just. *wibbles*
