You have done something that ties with the awesomeness of the raised maximum on the number of people one can friend.

Paid users (and permanents) can now read their flist by date, going back in time as far as possible.

This is useful when one's been away a few days and has gone beyond skip=950, but even more wonderful, you can now read the posts on your flist from Important Dates like the release of HBP, the announcement of the release date for OotP or the recent election day squee!

You can view reactions to individual episodes of your favorite tv show, or to the tsunami from 2004, or the growing understanding of the destruction of New Orleans, or see how many people wished you a Happy Birthday back in 2004 or anything.

Wonderful tool, LJ.

Thank you!

And huh, this icon is accurately applied to this feature, despite the fact that said icon was created to be snarky towards LJ. Weird.

I have just been flailing over this feature, myself. BRILLIANT feature that I have often wished for but not in any articulate fashion.

I know! Isn't it wonderful?
Oh, LJ, sometimes I truly love you.

Awesome! I just went back and read all the 9/11 reactions... :( Next date I choose will be some happier event, I think.

Also great is that not only is it a very good way to revisit memories and important events in a well-organized way, it also includes all the posts of people you hadn't friended yet back then so there's so much new stuff, new perspectives to be found. (Because who has the time to dig though all of each individual journal of each new person you friend?)

This is just all kinds of neat. Yay! :)

Ah, yeah, that's not a cheery place to start, but it's certainly an important one. It's such a great feature, with so many fantastic applications!

You know, this icon is vaguely snarky, yet somehow appropriate for this new feature. And I feel weirdly guilty about that, but in a good way.

First thought: this is EXCELLENT news for those of us who WANT to follow Alternity but have lost track of time - [livejournal.com profile] alt_player is awesome for catching up but only for the most recent few days. That is, if [livejournal.com profile] alt_player were a paid account. Hmmmm.

That was one of my first thoughts too, that I wish I'd had it when following Nocturne Alley and that it might help me catch up on Alternity!
