So, how did you sleep?

I finally stopped having nighmares about Palin but once I crashed at 1ish I have no idea what I dreamed....

Anyone saving today's printed newspapers?

And last night I set up [livejournal.com profile] 01202009 for inauguration discussion and planning both in DC and around the world. Will start to build it out today but can anyone help re layout? Banner?

Posted via LiveJournal.app.

And why do I feel like I'm singing "We did it!" from Dora the Explorer over and over again? It's like Map told us to go through the icky sticky mud, then under the exploding boxes, and that's how we get to shiny, tasty, happy Candy Mountain! WE DID IT! ETA: Huh. Is this the first time that a First Lady has had a cousin who's a Rabbi?

Your tag made me unspeakably happy. And January 20th is my birthday, so that's going to be an especially happy day for me.

Haven't been to bed - yet, but soon. :)

Anyone saving today's printed newspapers?

Yep! And buying acid free tissue paper so that I can keep them. Would you like a copy of the Sydney Morning Herald and/or The Australian?

WE DID IT!

Yes, you all did do it, and the rest of us are bloody grateful too. :D

That reminds me, I should email my mom and ask for her to save out papers. Thanks!

And I did end up sitting in front of a computer at school today for about 3 hours, an hour each time, and kept clicking on buttons on cnn.com since the computers only had flash 6 and therefore no pretty maps were being shown. But I did get to see the maps on fivethirtyeight.com!

I was too excited to sleep. Plus, I had to be up at 5am to get the kids ready for school.

I'm definitely saving the newspaper. I seldom buy them, but this is special.

My hubby and I always joke around about Dora the Explorer. It's such a cute show, and I really do like it, but we can't seem to resist joking about Boots, who annoys him.

:We tossed Boots into the volcano,
yeah, we did it. We did it. We did it, hooray!
Map told us to appease the gods today,
and sacrifice a monkey, so we said, Okay!
Yeah, we did it!:

*is going to the special hell, right?* LOL

I'd save the papers if I could find one...the stores are selling out! Have to wait until lunch and see if I can grab one at Barnes & Noble.

A few friends of mine are seriously thinking of trying to get to DC for the inauguration; I can't even wrap my mind around that. Everytime I hear the words "President-elect Obama" I tear up. I am just in awe, and yes, the Dora song is perfect for how I'm feeling! :o)

I didn't sleep hardly at all (I was way too excited), but it was for a good reason at least? :D

That Obama 44 pic is just gorgeous. May I use it as an icon - with appropriate credit for where I found it of course?

It actually came from the daily show's Indecision 2008 blog, so please credit them. But yes, you can!

Bryce and I will be at the Inauguration -- will we see you there?!!

Happiness. So happy today.

(So wish you had not put that Dora song in my head though -- gah. My Harry is still Dora-addicted).

I hope so! Aaron is being weird and doesn't want to go but if Bryce goes (and a few other husbands-of-friends) then I may be able to talk him into it. [livejournal.com profile] 01202009! Let's compare notes?
