Gah, it's been a long day. I've been up since 430, drove a hella lot, bought the last gifts for my kids' teachers (between the three of them and all their classes and after-school things, we hit 28 presents) and Harry's classroom gift-exchange tomorrow, and showed my All I Want for Christmas Voldemort-ized HP vid to some RL friends who were vaguely amused, and to my son, who was hysterical over it.

So now it's the end of the day and I can't go to sleep despite the exhaustion because I ate a candy cane and some evil s'mores-style candy, so [livejournal.com profile] longtimegone and I were discussing the forthcoming Hobbit movies, and realized that among other important questions (will Andy be back as Gollum, who'll play Bilbo), there will likely be some RPS fic written about whoever does get cast, and we want to hear from you!

Let your voice be heard! Will RPF about the cast of "The Hobbit" and its sequel still fall under the fandom name of LotRiPS or will it be called something different?

Inquiring minds want to know!

First, happy to hear that your friend's wee on has arrived and is doing well.
:)

Second, I soooo feel your pan on teacher-gifts ;) When I was growing up a card was the norm, but now much more is expected-and there's even 'peer pressure' because no child wants to be singled out as the one who brought nothing.

I'm at 21 'teacher' gifts and counting-besides holiday tips to the sitter, hairstylist, etc.

Now I for one can't see spending hundreds of dollars on
tchotckes for people who aren't family members. I can jam in decorative jars over the summer and make fabric toppers for them-so when gifting time arrives I just tie a ribbon on two or three and go.

Even so, it's a lot.
