Caught up? Maybe?
Oct. 26th, 2004 12:13 pmFirst, ( I just posted in mctabby's Friending Frenzy )
The other thing I should probably post about is basically what
hermione_like posted about here. Yes, I played chaperone for Chris Rankin at Disney this weekend. It was just a relaxing and fun evening, and then we went to Chef Mickey's for brunch the next day. I can say three things about Chris:
(a) He really is a very nice guy
(b) He is great with kids - there was a problem with the elevator in our wing of the hotel, so he kept Jon amused downstairs while Harry and I ran up to our hotel room to pick up some stuff before we left to take him to the airport.
(c) He never made it to hang out at the pool; we just ran out of time the next day.
Unfortunately, Mickey never made it over to our table at the character breakfast the next day, which was unfortunate, but Chris did get to meet Minnie and Goofy and Dale (but not Chip, unfortunately). It was an all around fun weekend and we had a great time in the park on Sunday night. if you ever have a chance to go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, I highly recommend it on a Sunday night - the last time I was there that it was this empty was around eight thirty AM on January 15, 2001, when we went for my 30th birthday and it was quiet enough that I was able to go on the teacups 30 times in a row in celebration (note: it was really dull around Time #18, but I felt compelled to finish the stunt). So nice to have almost all the rides be simple walk-ons. The fireworks were gorgeous, and Jon was only a little scared, poor boo.
