And now...

This morning, Lizzy and Brian's older dog, Mooshoo, died of a broken heart. She hadn't eaten since Thursday, and today, her heart stopped working.

We know she knew.

Oh, and the stupid idiots in the obit department at the LA Times ignored the request in the email I sent to them with the obit to call Brian's brother to confirm any details or payment info, and instead, emailed me 21 minutes before deadline to tell *me* to call them. I was somewhere over Colorado on the plane. So, of course, it didn't run today.

Does anyone know someone at the LAT who can let me know who to talk to regarding this?

I found this number at the LAT website:
Miss Ryan at (213) 237-7241 or (213) 237-7242 for rates and information.

If you'd like to register a complaint about the situation, I'd suggest trying to get hold of someone like the editor in chief or managing editor.
The main number there is: (213) 237-5000

Hope this helps.

They called Monday, apologized, and got it in for Tuiesday. So, not seeking firing, but still hoping they change their posted policies as they don't match up with the things they actually *do*. meh.
