Date: 2004-12-09 06:37 pm (UTC)For my money, GWB from F9/11 would have made a better nominee for villain. Although I doubt the publishers of the mag would have been that bold.

Date: 2004-12-09 08:00 pm (UTC)And I think Michael Moore is a shameless self-promoter, who has used the genuine belief of others such as yourself for his own ends. I have no problem with him presenting such a work as an interpretation or a viewpoint; I have a vast problem with him presenting it as a documentary. I would have similar problems regardless of the subject matter.

Date: 2004-12-10 06:28 am (UTC)anyway, I think it makes sense.
I mean, remember the first time you read the books? Most people thought Sirius was a villain, and for the vast majority of the movie-- up until the truth is revealed-- he's perceived as the villain, so the role functions the same way a villain's role does. Admittedly, he's not *in* much of the movie up till then, but , hey, nominating him for best villain insures you don't spoil it for the whole three people who haven't read and/or seen it yet.

Date: 2004-12-10 04:47 pm (UTC)It's just puzzling - I'm glad they're giving him credit for having been amazing, but Remus is more a threat to Our Heroes than Sirius is, especially in the film.

Date: 2004-12-11 06:54 pm (UTC)Also, I don't think Kill Bill Vol.2 was a sequel, wasn't it part of the same movie, only the movie was chopped in half?
And PoA wasn't a sequel, either.
