Greetings from the middle of the beautiful briney blue!

We're en route to St Maarten's right now, and we're spending the whole day at sea. Jon is resting in his stroller and I've rented a laptop to finish an article I have that's due on Wednesday (yikes).

Question for [livejournal.com profile] tabithajones and others - if you were at sea and could choose between lying in the sun or hanging on your own veranda watching Pirates of the Caribbean on your tv, which would it be?

Just curious...

Will possibly post more tomorrow but internet access is crazy-expensive, so I'm not reading email.

I will check LJ, though, so if you have an important message for me, or something I need to see, feel free to post it here (if you're comfortable with that) or email me and post a note here saying that you've emailed me. That means you, Lj user=praetorianguard>, m'dear.

: waves and returns to watching wqaves

I'd so take option 2. But then I go from normal to burned in .2 seconds so the sun is never a choice option for me. And Pirates...*drools*

Daquaris. Anything unfrozen could spill.

And the rum goes back

Pointless things to get Simon for Xmas:

1. Cuban cigars, which one can purchase in Nassau
2. Rum, as the cost of sending it to the UK would greatly outweigh the savings from purchasing it duty-free
3. Guinesses. Same deal.
4. One of those sweatshirts that chance colour in the sunshine because, well, when it's cool enough to wear a sweatshirt in the UK (ie fall, winter, spring) there is no sunshine, haha.

: looks for owls made of shells

1) Do not smoke
2) Rum is good, though can get it over here
3) Going to Dublin in January, can get Guinness there
4) You forgot to mention wearing the sweatshirt in summer.

Look miss heidi, I have a new icon :D

Oh good god, you know I hadn't even thought about it. Depends on how long it runs. Right now it's five chapters from being Schnoogle material, otherwise I suppose it'll go in...um...well, it's not really Astronomy Tower or Riddikulus material, so I suppose Dark Arts.

But it'll probably run another five chapters. I think it's got the room. Why do you ask?

I would definitely go for lying in the sun, drinking something frothy and alcoholic with a little pink umbrella. Definitely.

And now from the slightly older and trying to undo sun damage set, I'd go for:
1) a massage
2) a spray on tan (they work really well w/ my skin tone)
3) Veranda, with cute waiters serving fruity drinks while I watch pretty pirates on large screen TV and get a pedi.

Are you barking mad?! Hee, no j/k. You don't know me, but as if that's going to stop me. So, I haven't seen Jack Sparrow in over three months and I can hardly wait for December. Meaning the DVD of course. Also, there's no such thing as "breaking fandom" IMHP -- it's simply just being open to different fandoms besides just this one. Life cannot revolve around just HP, it absolutely must allow for Sparrow also!
