Is there any way to upgrade from 98 to xp without having your HD reformatted?

it depends whether you have a "new hardware" version of xp or a "upgrade" version of xp With the one made for upgrades, this is not a problem. if it is a full version, especially if it is a version that comes with new hardware, you can't, unless i'm forgetting something, which might be possible.
