Oh, Aja, Aja, for shame.

I don't have much time for this now, as I'm off to spend some dinner time with my family, but I have to quickly reply to Aja's post here.

And I want to make it clear that I am not replying to any of hte things that have nothing to do with me, things I heard about second or third hand from parties on both sides of the issue. And this is not necessarily an "I'm never ever speaking to you again, Aja," post because while I'm furious as hell with you now, I just don't understand why you dragged me into this, and I'm willing to think it was just a momentary abbarition.

But Aja, you of all people should know how I hate to be dragged into public kerfulffles. When Stacey quit FA last year, she did it with as much public dignity as she possibly could - she had the technical ability to delete tonnes of posts and accounts, to take away everyone else's mod privileges, basically do anything short of effing around with the domain name, and she didn't. She didn't slam anybody publicly last August when she quit - she just walked away, which is something that, although it devestated me emotionally at the time, she had all the right to do. And while I was furious with her for misconstruing things left and right, and I know Cassie was upset and angry as well, we kept it private because at that time, we thought that no good would come of making a public slam out of it.

Aja, you should've had the grace and dignity to tell me that you were about to make a post that involved/discussed/dissected me before you made it - I had to find out from a passel of YMs and a number of emails that you'd set me right in the middle of this wank.

Why the hell did you do that?

God, I don't even know if I want you to answer me publicly or in an email but seeing as you've made it all totally public now anyway, there's no way for me to change that. Are you going to go and edit your post now? Don't even bother - this post won't make any sense if you do.

You know, your post would've hung together just as well without any mention of me. Why couldn't you leave well enough alone?

Edited to add: After I'd already left the house, Aja went through and removed my name, and others', from her post, which was the right thing to do. I thought about making this post private, or a very tight friendslock (i.e. to those who have my LJ password anyway) and I may still do so - since I've never been involved in a personal wank-battle like this before, I'm not really sure what it is I'm supposed to do. Every kerfulffle I've been involved with before has to do with FA or Nimbus or something else that's "professional", not personal. Strange, innit?

Well, I hope that now that Aja's posted this, she can put it in the past and not explode about it anymore...
