Jan. 29th, 2003 07:33 amA USA Today-CNN-Gallup poll indicated that only 49 percent of those polled agree that Bush White House policies "will move the country in the right direction," down precipitously from 73 percent a year ago. Back then, 19 percent said Bush's policies were taking the country in the wrong direction; that number is 43 percent today.
Amen, amen

Date: 2003-01-29 10:22 am (UTC)Seventy-one percent say the policies being proposed by Bush would move the country in the right direction, while 20% say the wrong direction. Last year the comparable numbers were 91% vs. 7% respectively. Still, the results last night represent an improvement over this same group's responses in a poll conducted in the days just prior to the speech, when 52% said the right direction and 40% said the wrong direction.
