I have accepted the challenge.

Wait. I'm giving birth, helping organize Nimbus - 2003 and trying to get FA to achieve 501(c)(3) status? Well, if reading OotP 50 times counts, I should be fine.

Legal etexts on palm pilot, here I come!

50 books? A book a week? My husband does a book a *day* sometimes...he reads fast.

Do rereads count, or do they have to be all new (to you) books?

As for the Palm, that's where Mr. B is doing most of his reading these days anyway. If you like fiction, I recommend getting the latest Honor Harrington novel in hardback, even if you don't like David Weber. It comes with a CD full of other novels in various formats. All of the HH novels, Eric Flint's AU 1632 (and its follow-up, 1633, I think), along with other Baen Free Library books. Mr. B's slowly going through the collection.
