Slightly frustrated

I can't do cuts here on DW, and I don't know why. I am following the instructions from the FAQ and wondered if it wasn't just that for some reason legacy code wasn't working on my journal but when I did it with [cut] (replacing [ with <, of course) it still didn't work.

So I'm testing out a cut where I don't actually need one, to see if it works:

ETA Sigh, no, it didn't. ANYONE have any advice?

It works for me. Have you tried viewing the post from a friends' page? http://ancarett.dreamwidth.org/read has the cut there, working fine. Otherwise, you might have something in your DW setting that automatically expands all cuts. *rummages in the FAQ*

I see it fine. You must have cuts turned off when you look at your flist, or something?
