Slightly frustrated

heidiI can't do cuts here on DW, and I don't know why. I am following the instructions from the FAQ and wondered if it wasn't just that for some reason legacy code wasn't working on my journal but when I did it with [cut] (replacing [ with <, of course) it still didn't work.
So I'm testing out a cut where I don't actually need one, to see if it works:
Who's watching Sherlock on PBS for the first time tonight? ME!
Posting, then editing....
ETA Sigh, no, it didn't. ANYONE have any advice?
