...if only so I could watch the entire movie again NOW NOW NOW NOW instead of waiting until Friday night when I see it with various fandomers (squee!).
Review coming soon to FictionAlley & TLC.
However, I have a few nonspoilery comments for now:
1. It's all about Lucius (and if only I could convince
gwendolyngrace that he should be our Jewish perspective presenter for Nimbus - 2003 all would be right with the world).
2. It really is always eviltime!
3. Cassie should try to sleep with Christian Coulson.
4. Not enough Snape.
5. Chris Columbus is occasionally very very inspired. Unfortunately, he's also occasionally very very very deluded. They sort of balance each other out.
6. While there are parts of this film that I want to accept as canon, mostly in terms of characterisation stuff which I think is regularly spot-on, there are a few departures from the books which I think are very problematic (final scene included). There are, however, others, which I think are quite nicely done.
7. I need to go write Surfeit of Curses again. But first, I need to rewrite the Flourish & Blotts scene from Draco's perspective. Wooblet!
