Google Checkout announced on its blog this week that if you give $30 or more to one of a select set of charities, they will donate $10 to that same charity - and unlike PayPal, there's no processing fees for the charities.

You can see the list here - if you're thinking of helping one of those organizations this time of year, it's better to do it via Google Checkout.

Also, I ended up editing the titling on the meme below, because, well, the image had both purple and pink. So...
Your Blog Should Be Purple PINK

You're an expressive, offbeat blogger who tends to write about anything and everything.
You tend to set blogging trends, and you're the most likely to write your own meme or survey.
You are a bit distant though. Your blog is all about you - not what anyone else has to say.

I posted briefly about this topic a few weeks back, but I haven't had a chance to go back online and write up a full explanation of why this is a huge and problematic issue for everyone who accesses websites or email, ever.

So luckily, [livejournal.com profile] jediboadicea wrote an amazingly eloquent post about the situation and has generously allowed me to repost it here - you can find it behind the cut. Here's the question: Are you reading this post online? Are you in the US or viewing sites located in the US? Then you need to know how the Net Neutrality debate will impact you, because it will.  )
