This is the most brilliant cover ever.

It will blow your mind.
madlori opined last month that there are four types of cover songs - the fourth she listed was the song reimagining cover - she deemed it the "good one", and I agree (although I also have a soft spot for the ironic and acousticizng cover-styles as well, and sometimes, songs can manifest as two or more "types" of cover song).
This cover of Stairway to Heaven in the style of I Wanna Hold Your Hand? Reimagines the song, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles and what we think of when we listen to a song. It's more transformative, to borrow a term and use it in a non-lawyering sense, than even the Travis cover of Hit Me Baby One More Time (although less insane than The Wiggles' cover of Take A Walk on the Wild Side because that gets transmogrified into something interesting that isn't a particularly good song. But it wouldn't mean as much to someone who isn't familiar with the Led Zep original, or with early Beatles songs. They might think it's a good song, but the full import and impact just wouldn't hit them.
This Beatnix cover, imho, is a very good song. It's definitely worth a listen or six.
ETA And when the next song that plays on itunes is Green Day's Welcome to Paradise it can really remind you just how punk-beatles-ish early Green Day can sound. Yum.
It will blow your mind.
