How do you make your popcorn?

Do you use a microwave, or an air popper, or are you obsessive like me?

Because I use infused oils - usually rosemary, lemon-pepper or basil - sometimes mixed with a few drops of habanero oil. And I put it into a pot with a clear lid, turn the stove up to high, fill the bottom with kernels, and, when it's done, grind a mixture of pink sea salt and rosemary onto the top of it.

I love popcorn!

I feel like I'm missing out on some sort of mystical popcorn property that was just never shared with me, because I can't ever really bring myself to like it. I like the smell of it, but I don't like eating it. Of course, I've never had it your way, so it's possible I've just never had good popcorn. As it is I usually buy it at movie theaters and then eat a handful and leave my friends to eat the rest, which upsets them. :p

I do mine much like you, but of late I've grown fond of using japanese rice seasoning (mostly seaweed and sesame seeds) with a little bit of butter to make it stick to the popcorn. I also add a bit of hot chili oil and sesame oil to the pop-mix. It's my favorite!

National Popcorn Day! And me out of kernels!

Popcorn is my favorite snack. I have a nice microwave popping bowl, so I can just toss some in with whatever I want (oil, butter, flavor stuff, or nothing at all).

I'm a simple person, I like it with just salt and some butter/oil.

I took my parent's air popper when I started living on my own. Usually I add butter and salt, or if I'm trying to be healthy, I'll do olive oil and nutritional yeast.

I had to leave my air popper behind when I emigrated - so its back to the good old saucepan on the hob with a bit of oil for me!

Did you see this story, btw?

Microwave, but when I have the fancy stuff it's stovetop with olive oil and rosemary. Yum!

That sounds yummy.

We use an air popper and then a little spray butter and popcorn salt.

I grew up with Mom making it in a pot using bacon fat.

I once owned an air popper and thought it made horrible popcorn.

I don't mind microwave popcorn because it can be convenient, but I've always added stuff to it when it was done.

Sadly though, I'm no longer allowed to eat popcorn. Sure, I'll cheat once in a while and have some when I'm out for a movie but I really shouldn't. It won't kill me but it can send me to the hospital. *sigh* I miss popcorn.
