I liked the episode! I've enjoyed Cas as a character in many of the episodes and I definitely think Misha is a tulpa, and there was MPREG (well, angel-preg) and implied tentacles, brotherly banter, Sam's legs, Dean suppressing everything he's feeling because he needs just a little bit of hope inside the Pandora's Box of his mind, wangst, CROWLEY being un-awesome to the degree that it is truly awesome and there is a mystery and someone on my flist (but it's locked so I won't link) said that she thought that Cas's soul - and possibly Jimmy's if it was still in there which I doubt - were part of the glowey thing sucked into Purgatory and part of the second-half arc may be to get Cas out of there (but even if it isn't, then I'm okay with that because Casviathan is brilliant and that creepy smile is just fantastic.

And it's consistent with what Show does.

On Show every single significant actor has played characters other than the "main" one - Jared's played Soulless Sam, Lucifer and Meg, Jensen has played Demonic!Dean (as well as vamp!Dean) and Future!Dean, Misha's played Jimmy and Cas and Future!Cas and Godstiel, so why not play a completely different character for an episode before everything changes again. (Oh, and Jim's played a demon and I am not even talking about anyone in The French Mistake.)

Jared looks even taller, but slimmer which I (a) like and (b) is canon-justifiable given that the episode takes a few weeks to happen and Sam could be losing some of his strength from what he's going through. In lazy_daze's post here because of the angle it looks like his legs come halfway up Jensen's chest!

Um, I should be less superficial for a moment. I'm slightly spoiled about future episodes - character/special guest casting, mostly - but I am completely unspoiled as to the character arcs for *anyone*, and I am really, insanely looking forward to seeing how it goes.

It's weird, but I didn't love the editing in the Season Finale, a fact which was made clearer to me when I was editing my Tubthumping vid - the angles and shots were, at times, completely unmatched to the script and emotional levels and it didn't work for me in some frustrating ways even though I found the twists to the storyline intriguing, and I had to mentally fanwank some of the more temporal elements but this episode was so well shot and well edited and well composed that it was just so good to watch. Aesthetically pleasing elements, you please me! And the final shot in this episode was what the final shot of 6.22 should have been.



And, really? Fucking hell, season seven. Little show that could, you still really, really can. (and I sort of like how S7OMG looks like a l33t version of ZOMG. Appropriate!)

I could hug you. Most people I'm watching are angry at the epi and talking about how the writer isn't good and should go write for Gossip Girl (and now that they showed her on TV there's lots of well no wonder she sucks she doens't look like a horror writer.... So I guess she should have worn a Stephen King mast IDK >.>)And just all kinds of anger.

Where as I loved it it. So I'm so happy to finally find someone else who enjoyed the episode too!

And I'm so looking forward to seeing Misha play what essentially sound like Lovecraft monsters with some mythology tossed in. That will be so much fun.

I'm kinda wondering myself if Cas isn't "gone" because he fled that vessel. I sorta would have. ^^;;;

I just saw it and i went in knowing what happened, but I must say that I kind of loved it. My dad and I kept wondering aloud if Christian groups have staged any protests about this show--and now with this episode. Cause my Chuck Cas God. I kind of the mind that by and large Christian groups do not know about this show. I mean, I have a friend who won't read Harry Potter on religious grounds. She probably doesn't even know about the goings on (except that it deals with magic and wizards).

I am so curious about why you say Misha is a tulpa. I'm extremely fascinated by the idea of tulpas and thoughtforms. I think Heroes is locked into that somehow, too. And of course it is a bit Jungian. I'm strongly considering doing my graduate work in a field related to Jung because his theories kind of rule my life. Namely Synchronicity.

I also loved what you loved about this episode. I also loved the silliness of Death and him chomping on some pickle chips. I love that he let himself get caught. And CROWLEY. Who cannot love Mark Sheppard? I hope we see him again on Doctor Who. I'm kind of in love with that character too.

And speaking of people who appear on other shows, did you hear that Sebastian Roche is going to be on Vampire Diaries? And may or may not be acting alongside one Jack Coleman. :D Fingers crossed that their paths meet.

And: how good was it to see Mark Pellegrino again?

Oh the brother banter made me so happy. It felt comfortable and right. This episode was so smooth and flawless.

I was really excited about the premiere for Fringe, but it was a bit of a let down for me. :( I much preferred Supernatural and I was much less excited about that one. It seems like the Supernatural writers are on good track this season.
