It's all over Twitter and the news blogs, but I haven't seen mention of it on LJ yet, and CNN hasn't sent out a breaking news alert but, from Nick Kristoff's nytimes tweet:

ETA And if he was really shot in the head by US soldiers, then the last thing he saw was justice, coming for him. Fitting, if accurate, and I hope it is.

People pouring into the streets to celebrate in front of the White House, largely George Washington University students. I'm tempted to drive down there to join them.

I never thought we'd get him. But that's what he gets for setting up camp in a bloody million dollar mansion. With an 18' wall around it. Ten times the size of all the neighbors' houses. Burning their trash. With no internet connection unlike everyone else in town.

Pampered asshole. Trains poor 14-year-olds to blow themselves up while he lives in a palace.
