Weekly Fandom Flashback Moment

heidiI was going through late-2005 LJ posts today to try and find my Year In Review from that year, and found the start of what I hope will be a New Project Through July: The Harry Potter Flashback Moment of the Week.

Mine was this: "Lucius Malfoy was nothing but a social climber anyway; didn't you ever learn that your godfather was supposed to marry his cousin Narcissa, but when he announced that he was in love with one of his roommates..."
Suggestions for other things to flash back to later? I'm trying to avoid wankiness, and omgwtf or amusing things are ideal.
