Summer is ending, fall is beginning.

So, what was your best fannish memory of the summer/winter?

A new fandom, a rekindled love for an old one? A particularly wonderful big bang you read, or the accomplishment of finishing one? An event, con, concert, meet-up? A new friendship, or finding someone you'd lost touch with popping up in a new one?

There are so many things! A new fandom for me (Sherlock) and another new fandom that I'm not involved in (Inception) have together takien over my friends list feed with glee and awesomeness, and it's delightful to see so many awesome people being excited about stuff :) Top memories include introducing new Merlin fangirls to Colin Morgan's real accent, and the video of him and Bradley James singing You're The Voice (it's so adorkable it makes me squee every time I hear it, and there's something about seeing other fans experiencing it for the first time that is just DOUBLE the squee!). Also meeting new fangirls I'd never met before through mutual Holmes and Watson admiration, and countless giggly rewatchings of Sherlock, Star Trek, Merlin and so on. Oh and pink_soprano theatre, where pink_soprano is much better at finding good fic than I am and then she reads them to me :D It's like my own personal podcast!

This summer we got attached to the new USA show "Covert Affairs". I'm not "in fandom" in the sense of following fic or whatnot, but the show is clever and fun to watch. They're on half-season break right now but you should be able to find eps online. Same with White Collar (also USA), which is on half-season break for its 2nd season.

Best fannish memory? Marathoning all five seasons of Supernatural. Hands down.

I rekindled my love for Harry Potter this summer, which is fantastic! Not that it ever went away, but it was dormant for a while - a long while. It's good to have a creative outlet back.

2010 will forever be the cherished memory of that very special night in Hogsmeade, as the street deserted and it was just you and me for a few moments. Among the magical shops, in view of that magnificent castle, finding myself there with YOU my dearest HP friend… well, the magic became real! Thank you.
