How far is Universal from WDW?

It's about a 20 minute drive from the Disney hotels to the Royal Pacific - and just FYI, there are a good number of rides and things at Universal's two parks that are great fun for kids. My kids - all three of them! - love spending an hour or more at the Curious George Ball Zone, and hours more at the Animal Planet show, and Feivel's Playground and of course, Seussland.

Is it possible that y'all might possibly make it down this summer for Infi? I would lovelovelove to be able to get all our kids together - and we do have a kids' track at Infi that's 25 dollars a day for 6-7 hours of kid-centric programming in a separate pair of rooms, with volunteers who have been background-checked.

We're ... thinking of it. Given that we had a big Disney expense in January, I'm not sure about returning to Florida (even if we don't go to Disney) again so soon, and the idea of Florida in July is kind of O_o but I know Will had a great time with our abbreviated Azkatraz experience and wants to do Infinitus, and it would be great to let our kids participate a bit, too. And everyone is very ooohahhh over the ads we've seen for the HP park. So ... we're thinking about it. The kids' track hasn't filled up yet?

I really think you should come. Not just because I want Catie (and my boys) to hang out with your girls in a majorly potterific atmosphere, but because I think you'll all really enjoy it. The kids track is not full- I would say you have at least two more weeks to be sure it's not full, but it might very well be another four to six weeks. We can accommodate 50 kids total.

Yes, Florida in July can be terrible in the middle of the day, but if you do the kids' track and the programming, and go to the Park on the after-2 passes after 4 or 5, it won't be terribly hot - it usually goes into the 70s after sunset.

I would not recommend bringing the girls to the event in the Park - it won't start until late. I am bringing Harry but he'll be nearly 11; Jon and Cate will stay at the hotel with our nanny, who is coming up for the night.
