I think most of what I wanted to say about Show last night (which I watched this morning) has been smartly said all over my flist - Smart!Dean, Middle-Child!Sam, the importance of family, the omg-should-I-be-intrigued-or-squicked?! blood drinking, the hope that Sam will get stitched up by dean afterward (anyone written that yet?) - except for two things:

1. I may have mis-heard, but if I am doing the maths right, and fake!Adam wasn't lying, then John found out about him sometime in 2003, which would've been about a year after Sam went to Stanford. Which means that by the time he knew about Adam and made the decision to keep him away from hunting, he already knew that the hunter's lifestyle had driven one of his children away from him, and perhaps that's why he kept it such a secret.

2. Deedee Pfiefer! Deedee Pfeifer shagged JDM! Even if they never met! And she's two years older than JDM, so go does that mean Sam (as per sex & violence) is like John in the Going After The Older Women thing, except not because in SPN JDM is playing someone so much older (because, as we know, Dean was not born when John was 12/13). : throws numbers into the air for no reason. (In case you didn't recognize the name, Deedee is Michelle Pfeifer's little sister, which makes me almost wish there was enough content in this episode for me to do a vid to Cool Rider, with "Adam" talking about John's car as an intro.

Anyhow, am back home in Miami. North Carolina was wonderful and ridiculously busy and I am overstretched because I had to be completely on the ball from about 8:30 AM until around 9:30 last night, because I flew back to Miami with the CEO of the company I was visiting, so no chance to decompress on the plane. Easy, on-time flight, though.

Five days until I fly again. Summertime and I can't stand still...

yeah the math seems to indicate John found out about Adam after Sam had left, which explains a lot-why he kept Adam a secret, and why he tried harder to let Adam have that life, he didnt want Adam to resent him

The only thing that did hit me was, surely John had given the Impala to Dean by that point? So how did Adam know about it?
"Hey Dean. Can I borrow the Impala this weekend? I'm just off to Minnesota."

Depends what you mean by giving. If Dean was using the Impala pretty much full time under the understanding that he would get it after John's death but it was understood if John needed the car, Dean would hand the keys over, no questions asked.
