That's funny...I started singing the same thing when they showed Bush during Obama's - excuse me, I mean the President's - speech. I guess great minds think alike!

While I get that you and most people hate him, I thought that was extremely rude and childish.

Rude and childish that thousands of people sang it, or rude and childish that I reported it?

Did you know people did it before? Back in 1992 on Election Night, I went with a group of people from the Clinton victory party at the Capitol Hilton to the White House and sang it. Of course GHWB wasn't there, but we would have done it anyway.

And people sang it in 2001 - although I am not perfectly sure whether they sang it at Clinton or Gore.

I understand that you like him, but empirically, he presided over a time of devastation for our country's economy and international reputation. So why shouldn't people sing a song that's sung to the losers at sporting events of all levels? The one-fingered salute was a lot more extreme, and had I been there I don't think I would have done that. But he's leaving, so saying goodbye? It's just a song.

I think it's was rude and childish and lacked class that people sang it. Now or at any time in the past, this isn't anything near the same as a sporting event, imho. Just becuase I like him doesn't mean I've always agreed with everything he's done. I didn't like Clinton and Gore but I would not do that, out of respect at the very least for the office they held.

I 'm sorry we'll just have to agree to disagree on this.
