I'm another person who cried watching that video. Thank you for posting it again.

I have to run around all day tomorrow.... I'm going to have to go to the polling place right when it opens. I came from the volunteer office just now, where I dropped off some chili and freshly baked rolls for the people there. If I have time later today, I'm want to bake a large sheet cake for them tomorrow. Since I can't be there to help, like I originally wanted, the least I can do is to feed the people who are.

I have made the decision to walk to my voting place instead of drive. It's 3/4 of a mile away but there is no free parking (that I know of). I don't want to risk getting ticketed if I park, go to vote, and the line's longer than I expected. I'll be taking my cell and iPod with me, though right now I'm wishing I had an iPhone or Sidekick or something.

I'll then be coming back home to rock out in front of the TV. No election party planned at this point.

How will I spend the day?
Taking advantage of the day off and shopping! But b/c I will be shopping with Mother who (omg!) thinks Palin is a great choice and "tells it the way she sees it" (oh dear god!) I will be avoiding any and all political talk....I want to enjoy the day.... Of course this means wearing the headphones to my iPod in the car on the way to Arundel Mills so I don't have to listen to crap talk radio......

I early voted over a week ago; I just couldn't take it any longer. And I was also terrified that something was going to go wrong, so I thought I'd go in advance and give myself some buffer time, just in case.

As for tomorrow, I realized months ago that I was going to be too much of a wreck to actually watch election results. I'm going to be overly emotional no matter who wins the presidential election, really. So I'm disconnecting my Internet and getting as far on my NaNo story as humanely possible. I'll blare music if my parents decide to watch results on the TV because I don't want to hear a thing until it's officially over.

I already voted absentee, so I don't have to worry about that. But I am to be spending the entire day (7am to at least 8pm, sigh) working in a campaign office, and by then I'm probably going to need a drink. XD

I'm picking up the girls from soccer, depositing each one at the correct house, and then returning to my own home to watch election coverage and praying that Obama wins by a big enough margin that I won't have to stay up till 1 am just to give up and then be disappointed the following day.

I'll be at work, which means making sure that everything is going all right at polling places, hooking up voters with rides, and making sure people know where to vote.

Getting paid to be a part of this is so awesome. Stressful as hell, but amazingly awesome.

I'm really kinda sorry that I left America before this election. This would be such an exciting time to be involved in politics.

I'll be hitting a brief Campaign 2000 reunion with a few pals from college (possibly being designated driver since they're going to do a shot every time McCain takes a state), then watching the remainder of the results with my family.
