for clients who call me at 9:43 with a consent agreement crisis and interrupt Show.

Grrr.

Plus, I started ten minutes late (YAY for DVRs) because of Putting Kids to Sleep.

I like the way [livejournal.com profile] linaerys phrased it:
It was also a nostalgic episode. Dean spells it out in the beginning: a good old fashioned vampire hunt. But the black and white lets us know that it is a nostalgia trip; this is not the way Sam and Dean's life is anymore.

Is this the first time we've seen Jensen's legs since the sleeping scene in Phantom Traveler? Wonder what Dean did with the lederhosen outfit after. I bet Sam hid it somewhere and plans to torture Dean with it every so often. And I wonder if Dean is going to have a debate with Sam as to whether he was changed into the lederhosen by Lucy-the-girl or the guy-monster, and which is squickier, and OMG WE DID GET A GENDERSWAP EPISODE but not the one I want in which Alexis Blidel plays Sam and Jessica Alba plays Dean.

The maverick + wink *had* to have been a re-shoot and late addition. HAD TO. Can someone *please* ask in Chicago?

LOVE the gothic residence hidden behind the normal girlish apartment - and the interaction with the pizza guy.

The parallel of Jamie to Sarah (Provenance) in the ending scene was adorable - but that last line of Jamie's sort of broke the flow for me. Not sure why.

I liked the whimsy and the S1-esque sweetness of the episode, mixed with the monster movie tropes. it was cute - although I couldn't get *into* it the way I wanted because I got interrupted four times, all told. Must re-watch.

Wish I were seeing it at wincon, though.

And I just read [livejournal.com profile] kerrikins' post about Jared's recent interview wherein he discussed Ruby and I think there's some good food for thought there. It's pretty much what I was thinking earlier today but she already wrote it so I don't have to.

I was actually pondering the whole Ruby thing the other day and thinking... If Ruby wanted to actually go the whole non-evil route then possibly the best thing she could do would be to well, scoop a corpse. Somebody who just died or recently so there would be no consent issues or any issues really because she's not torturing some poor girl by keeping her prisoner in her own body.

I'm not really sure how possession works and if it would work on a dead person but I am assuming it would considering most times the demons end up killing the body they're in well before they vacate it.
