David Tennant and Catherine Tate as Benedick and Beatrice.

What's your dream theatrical experience? And if you like my dream, who would you bring in to round out the cast?

(I wanna see Tennant when he does his Hamlet! Cries!)

but oooh B and B works perfectly! Who else do we need? *thinks*

Now all I can see is Keanu in leather pants. Which is no bad thing.

Ooooh, I do too! Especially because one of my favourite bands in life (Hue & Cry, see icon) is playing a rare concert in London on September 15, and I could do both so easily, if I could only get there. If something gets screwed up with my husband and me going to comic con I might plead for it.

Dude if you are in London on Sep 15 you have to tell me (as it is where I am!)

COmiccon would be AWESOME tho'

Add John Barrowman as Don Pedro and Ben Whishaw as Claudio, and I say we have a deal.

I've also been dreaming of a revival of Pippin starring Jonathan Groff since I saw this (http://youtube.com/watch?v=z2C-SS-c1ro) video.

Ooooh, that would work for other-casting!

But as re Pippin, instead, we'll probably get a Zac Efron version of Pippin. Which could be interesting, actually, as a curiosity. Speaking of Pippin, did you hear that William Katt is joining the cast of Heroes?

I could live with Zac Efron, probably. I think he's talented (I loved him in Hairspray), I think he just needs to leave High School Musical behind and look back on it fondly. XD (Although I have to say he'd be in my top choices for Marius if The Powers That Be saw fit to ever make a Les Miserables movie. >_> :D

I didn't know that. I feel some great macros coming on. XD

That is a marvellous idea!

I would rather like to see Tennant and Tate as Mercutio and Tybalt, but I can't decide which way around would work best.

Hahahaha, sporfle, that would be shiny!

DonnaDoctor can do anything and make it brilliant.

And OMG I just thought of something re Ten and Donna but I don't want to put it here because it's totally spoilery for 4.12, so I'm going to go back to my reaction post and add it there....

I probably shouldn't tell you that I saw Guys & Dolls in NYC in early May, 1992, before it exploded into the Biggest Thing On Broadway That Year, should I?

(Or the fact that I was on a plane with him from LA to NYC back in... 1994? I think so because it was just before the Lion King came out, so was that '93?)

You're killin' me. KILLIN' ME!!!

Man! That performance had to have been amazing! Did you get to talk to him on the plane? He seems like he'd be a hoot in person. LOL

OMG I WANT!!! I don't care where that would be playing, I would be there. "Much Ado.." Rivals only "Hamlet" for my fav Shakespeare and to see those two sparing live would be the awesome! I'm so stuck on imagining B&B I can't even think who could pull off the other parts opposite those 2.

*tries to think of another theatre wish*

Well I have Equus on the brain today so that being said, I would like to see Jared Padalecki in the role of Alan Strang(of course when Daniel Radcliffe has had his fill). The thoughts of that man riding half naked on a man playing a horse is just good theatre. I would like to see Anthony Stewart Head play Dr.Martin Dysart. I think that I would like to see Kate Winslet in the part of Jill, Meryl Streep as Dora Strang(because I love her as an actress and I don't care that she might be a little above the age),not sure yet who I would like to see play Frank Strang. And I'd be more than happy to keep Will Kemp in the role of Nugget.

Ha! I was watching that last night (Thompson/Branagh). I think Catherine and David would be hilarious in the roles.

My friend Hilary and I would give just about anything to see David Tennant as Iago.

I have no idea who the rest of the cast would be but...ohman, he'd be an amazing Iago.

My dream theatre experience already happened and I missed it, but I have my fingers crossed that it'll transfer to the West End at the end of the years. The Menier Chocolate Factory put on a production of La Cage aux Folles with Philip Quast and Doug Hodge in the main roles and oh, please, I just want one chance to see this!
