First, happy Canada Day!
1. Gacking this question from
wendy:
My answer - this post hosts my oldest icon, my LegallyHeidi one that
folk made for me back in the very early days of 2002. It's the first icon I ever had customized for me, and I will never get rid of it.
Speaking of icons, is there a "that's not a planet, that's a space station" icon yet? And if so, can you please point me to it? And if not, can someone please make one, stat?
2. Do you have a theme song? If so, what is it? If not, would you consider bidding to commission a personalized theme song written by
phoenixw and
trappergraves in the
livelongnmarry auction? If you're not interested in bidding, what would you want included in your theme song?
My answer was in my post from earlier this year - it's Swing Out Sister's "Breakout", and it has been for 21 years now. Meep.
3. What's the longest road trip you've taken?
My answer: When Aaron and I drove from NYC to Miami in late April, 1998 in an Enterprise rental van filled with comic books, because he didn't trust the movers to bring his nine million boxes of comic books in their big truck. The comic books that went into the upstairs closet that day have not been touched, much less opened, since the day we arrived in Miami. We stopped two nights on the road, although we probably could have done it in two days, and I remember listening to Natalie Imbruglia's Torn and AllSaints' Never Ever a lot.
4. What's your all-time favorite ice cream flavour or frozen treat?

What's your oldest icon? What has made you hang on to it for so long? Does it mean something specific? Do you use it for special things? Show me and tell me all about it!

'Absolutely Fantastic' which is good for responding to author's fic and good news (of your own or a friend's). Mostly I just love Chris's rubber face grin. I think he even eclipsed Five as my ultimate favorite doctor with his ability to be serious, sarcastic, humerous and believability as a burned out time soldier. I really wish he'd wanted to stay as the Doctor for at least two, if not 3 whole seasons. Of course, then the stories in sns. 2-4 would've been different. I don't think even Chris could've topped Ten's emotional reunion and goodbyes with Sarah Jane Smith.
2. No, I can't even settle on *one* favorite song at a time. It's always like a top 10 or so, because it depends on my moods/feelings. The closest I've gotten to a theme song is watching Ally McBeal and co-horts with theirs. ;-) I have no idea what I'd put into a theme song of my own. I'm still trying to find that perfect 'new' name for my lj username.
3. 12-14 hrs. 12 hrs. crammed into the back of a car with 2 other teens driving across Texas during the summer. As for long, it may not technically be as time long as the other, but being stuck in the car for so long I had time to read a book of the adults traveling with us had brought - Ann Rand's Atlas Shrugged. The 14 hr. drive was acting as nanny for a couple I regularly babysat for. They took me along on their trip to Orlando to watch after the baby at the hotel while they went to their business conference. Sadly no detours to Disneyworld. But the baby and I did do a lot of walking around the grounds and swimming at the pool.

Date: 2008-07-02 01:49 pm (UTC)Ok, ice cream...in childhood - Baskin Robin's Java (a coffee-flavored ice cream). Now, depending on mood these are my most beloved flavors - Ben&Jerry's: Phish Food (which is currenly no.6 on their website's Top10Flavors list) followed very closely by Marsha Marsha Marshmallow or Haagen-Daas: Coffee.
