Did you leap out of bed this morning?

Are you doing anything particularly unusual today?

Is this the day that "doesn't count" for things like diets, workout schedules, school-things?

And, [livejournal.com profile] wendywoowho, how old is Fredric today? Pushing 40 birthdays?

In other words, happy leap day, everyone!

Q to those of you with under-7-year-old kids - have you seen Bindi the Jungle Girl? Am I the only one creeped out by the theme song lyrics, ""The Croc Hunter taught her/ and now his only daughter/ is Bindi the Jungle Girl...." - and the fact that in the ad, she's dancing to it?

My kids occasionally watch the show, but I try to fast forward over the song; is it just me?

ETA [livejournal.com profile] micewerefurious started the day with a vid that winks at Ten + Rose - you can watch it here. Cute use of four minutes of your morning!

FINALLY, he is older than I am!

PS, [livejournal.com profile] folk - if I do manage to get to the UK for the concert performance of Chess, will you come up to London and join me?

The Bindi shows were made before he died. But they are creepy. And I apparently don't get Aussie humor. We've only watched it once.

according to this; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bindi_the_Jungle_Girl_%28TV_series%29

the show started filming before Steve died . So it's not as odd as it may have been

I used to think that Bindi would grow up to be normal. How silly of me. Before the family was so famous I used to think her parents would just send her to the local school.

As as Australian, I would like to say... the shows are creepy. The girl is creepy. I was angry when she got splashed all over the media when her dad died as it seemed she was being exploited (well, more than she already had been).

There's still hope the her brother may grow up to be normal. He's only young.

So they're weird to Australians too, huh? Good to know. Yeah - I didn't like how she was exploited either. I hope she's gotten some peace from the media since then.
