Gacked from so so many people:

1. Pick 15 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
5. NO GOOGLING/using IMDb search or other search functions.

ETA - So far, #14 is the only one not yet guessed. Give it a try! I'm shocked that nobody's guessed it yet, so I've added another line from the film directly underneath #14...

Hint: one of the quotes below is from the film I'm basing my [livejournal.com profile] abouttwoboys fic on.

1. And we're walking, and we're walking, and we're stopping. Dave - Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] gmth

2. Malone and McGuire, sounds like a Vaudeville act. Xanadu - Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] wendywoowho

3. A bird may love a fish, signore, but where will they live? Ever After - Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] lupinslittlesis

4. It's just like driving a really big Pinto. Speed - Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] seimaisin

5. I'm not married, I don't have any kids, and I'd blow your head off if someone paid me enough. Grosse Point Blank - Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] lupinslittlesis

6. Gee, I'm real sorry your mom blew up. Better Off Dead - Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] sundancekid and [livejournal.com profile] senor_coconut_1

7. That's depressing and it's expensive, two words I hate. You know the words I like? I like the word "peppy" and the word "cheap". Peppy and cheap. Soapdish! - - Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] innie_darling

8. That's not a wedding, it's a town. Sabrina (1995) - Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] stephandra

9. Oh, God. That's weird. What the hell is Goofy? Stand By Me - Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] wendywoowho

10. The country of Shakespeare, Churchill, the Beatles, Sean Connery, Harry Potter. David Beckham's right foot. David Beckham's left foot, come to that. Love, Actually - Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] sundancekid and [livejournal.com profile] katilara

11. Basically you're saying marriage is just a way of getting out of an embarrassing pause in conversation. Four Weddings & a Funeral - Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] lupinslittlesis

12. Once again, things that could've been brought to my attention YESTERDAY! The Wedding Singer - Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] lupinslittlesis

13. Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed. Legally Blonde - Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] sundancekid and [livejournal.com profile] fabalafaepotter

14. Not weird weird, but like exciting weird.
Extra hint: Well, to quote Dolores, "The code stinks."

15. I use my grand IQ to decide what color lip gloss to wear in the morning and how to hit three keggers before curfew. Heathers - Guessed by [livejournal.com profile] wendywoowho

Yes! Also, my husband and I had a long discussion last month about whether Better Off Dead or Grosse Point Blank is a better movie - I argued that you can't compare them because of the content, context and the difference between the 80s and 90s, and that they're both the best example of their genres and eras. He thinks GPB is better, overall, and had more talented co-stars (and he also notes the curly-hairedness of the Love Interest in both films).

Yes on all of them!
Soapdish is my Lucky Movie. I saw it the day before the LSATs and did well, so I made sure to watch it on videotape the night before the NY and Florida bar exams, and the day before I got induced with all three of my kids.
I now have it on itunes, so I can put it on my ipod in case of emergencies, but I don't want to overuse its powers.

#8 is from "Sabrina."

#9 is from "Stand By Me."

#11 - "On Golden Pond"?

#12 - see #5 and 11. For some reason I'm hearing Meg Ryan.

#14 - "Enchanted"?

ARGH. this is frustrating because I know I'm going to slap my forehead when I look these up.
