Show! For the first time all year, Show!
Jan. 31st, 2008 09:04 pmEw. Ewwy ew! Teeth! Yuck!
Omg, more ewwy ew! Roast maggotiness!
Love the little flamey-torch thing, though - did they get it from the William-Sonoma catalog?
And back to the blood. Ew! Did they just totally ratchet up the gore?
What're they thinking? If they're not eww-ed by the teeth and blood we'll get them by the maggots?
I'm watching in HD, btw, and the maggots in HD? Bleurgh.
Awww, dean's sympathy for the bunny!
Huh, gardener-girl and dean - entering a battle of the freckles.
Oh! Oh, huh, what the heck was that? Sera Gamble writing fanservice (and more wrestling) into the script!
But Dean, after criticizing Sam for shooting
Awwwww. Hotel room convo is so woobie. Yay for the chick flick moment!
Erm. Except for it being interrupted by the blood and the choking.
Oooh! The colt failed! I knew it would have to eventually but that was a fantastic way to do it.
Does Sam get tied up or throttled now?
Or at least after the commercial?
...waiting....
Well, pinned. And muted. Good enough.
And as
Dean using the shiny knife! But ruby's backstory is less interesting than expected, alas. Just a witch? Hmmm...
And this is the future of the mytharc - this is what will happen to Dean? What would have happened to John if Jake hadn't opened the gate. I mean, we always knew that one bit of *good* came from that act of evil but now it's clearer - and also, what Ruby said sorta meshes with what the Reaper told Dean (which, do we know if he remembered, ever?).
This - keeping Dean from becoming evil - is what Sam must must stop, and must save him from. And this is why Show is so phenomenal and heartbreaking and wow.
And we get more next week, yay!
So Kripke's done some interviews this week and I bookmarked them to read after watching the ep because I was majorly avoiding spoilers. Man, he's intrigued and vaguely freaked out by fangirls, isn't he?
But it all comes down to one thing:
As much as you love SPN?
SPN loves you!

Date: 2008-02-01 03:20 am (UTC)Yeah, except for the chick flick moment, I have to say -- NOT ENOUGH SAM. I like me some Sammich.
Totally love Dean mouthing "I told you so" at Sam, even as they're pinned to the walls and gonna die. Big brother *has* to have the last word, doesn't he?
Although I like how definite the "you're not escaping hell" aspect is. Let's leave it beyond doubt and work on something else. Like toughening up Sammy. Like keeping Dean from succumbing to evil.
Maybe the amulet will keep Dean from forgetting his humanity? *shrugs*
Sera Gamble loves us, no?

Date: 2008-02-01 04:39 pm (UTC)Ok I'm with you on the EWWW!! Teeth!!!
Have I mentioned that I have an irrational fear of all things insects??? So yeah maggots and flies scene was really hard for me to watch.
Ruby's backstory was sort of "oh,ok" and not so much "holy shit!!!"
LOVED Dean totally gacking the demon with the hell knife. Very cool.
I like Ruby much more than Bella. Although I think I'm one of the only girl fans that was happy to see some kick ass chics added to the show to rattle the guys and make it fun.
Eric Kripke is a genious.
And just when you thought that the boys couldn't possibly be any hotter than they are, Ruby tells Dean that Sam has to be more like Dean. Sammy with added tetosterone. Has Kripke been reading my journal? The both of them are just going to be...wow.
