Happy, happy birthday to
chaeche, my vidding mentor and (hopefully!) my co-presenter on how-to-vid at Portus (you can still submit a proposal through the end of the week here)!
In your honour, I've created a little Snape-centric parody of Schoolhouse Rock's The Tale of Mr Morton - this is The Tale of Professor Snape.
Title: The Tale of Professor Snape
Song originally from: Schoolhouse Rock
Fandom: Harry Potter
Rating: PG
Summary: Professor Snape is the subject of the sentence and what Harry P, says, he'll do. (hint of Snape/Harry)
Genre: Parody
Download it from:
From the Department of Backstory: My kids love Schoolhouse Rock. They love the songs (as well as the visuals) so I listen to them a lot in the car. And those songs get into your head, as infectious things do, and sometimes your brain starts vidding and you think, "Hey! My kids love Schoolhouse Rock, and they love Harry Potter, so why not put the chocolate in the peanut butter, and merge the two?"
So I made a SR parody (not this vid) for my kids, and...
Then I made another. And another (not HP; not actually kid-friendly as it's from SPN and has scary things!). And another and another and another and I have another one storyboarded out and ready to edit. I'll be posting them over the next few weeks. They're all crack. Complete crack. But I hope y'all like them!
Anyhow, happy birthday, wonderful

Back in the 90's, many grunge bands got together and recorded their own versions of Schoolhouse Rock.
There is a great version of "I'm Just a Bill" by Better than Ezra (I think) and the Lemonheads recorded 3 is a Magic Number... If I can figure out how to upload them for taking, I'll do so.
If you know how, pass on the secret to me and I'll hook a sistah up...
