I walk past the theatre where Xanadu is playing every day on my way to work and it seems like the worst, most cracked-out musical ever. Is it really that good? What's it about?

It really is. It took the basic idea of the movie (muse inspires down-on-his-luck artist and falls in love) and made something completely different than the movie. It makes fun of itself, the 80s and the movie... while staying goodhearted and keeping the great music from the movie.

I've seen it 6 times. *blush*
