My brain is a little fried right now because I just finished a major project and have an insane SPN plot bunny, but since I finally saw SPN 3.02 last night, I have some thoughts, in poll-form.

[Poll #1071926]

I have Legally Blonde: The Musical on my DVR to watch when I get home. I have the cast recording which I generally like except for one characterization issue that changed re Elle from the film to the show but I'm looking forward to seeing the whole of the show.

After Heroes, that is! I need to go post my Charm Attack vid over on [livejournal.com profile] heroes_vids....

As much as I wish Ben was Dean's son, I have a feeling he really isn't... that he was there just to tempt Dean and show us how much Dean actually wants a real family, and how he realizes now that he'll never have the chance to have a kid as cool as Ben.

I watched the musical last night, and it is so much fun! I mean, I really dislike the guy who played Warner (I guess that I'm entitled to be picky when I'm a vocal major), but other than that, it's a good experience. The songs are so catchy, and Laura Bell Bundy is great as Elle :)

I'm not really sure if Ben was Dean's son or not but just the thought of a second generation Dean Winchester is too friggin cute!!

Just curious, what was your Elle characterization issue? (Other than the fact that they cast Laura Bell Bundy, who is annoying at best these days?)

In the film she makes the initial decision to focus on school matters after the "costume" party, and here, Emmett has to push her into doing so. In a way, it works, narratively, but I like it more when Elle makes the decision for herself.

Am I weird?

Ahh! That was a conscious choice on the part of the writers, in order to make Emmett more than a 2d token love interest character. But yeah, I can see where it hurts Elle a little -- although in the end, it's still her that knuckles down and does the work. I think everyone wins there. :)
