I don't normally get asquee about images - I usually browse LJ with images off as I'm usually using my Sidekick - but this week, there's a few photos that I have to save for posterity, and thus will share as well...

First,

Second, in lederhosen (with more images here).

Third, . I know there's a larger version of this so if someone can point me to it...

[livejournal.com profile] 12_12_12 also let me know about a video that Adrian Pasdar shot this week in France (I think earlier today? Maybe yesterday?) of Milo Ventimiglia, which he then uploaded to his YouTube account - you can watch it here

So I've watched the first episode of Heroes again - it's the extended Tim Kring cut with the additional subplot about the terrorist, which was cut out when they weren't sure the show would be on at 8 or 9, and Tim's discussion of that, and how he was relieved, in the end, to not have to worry about tying that plotline in.

I'm curious how the show would have progressed through the season had an Arab terrorist, not Ted, been the radioactive man. First, would Hana Gittleman, who came from a long line of Israeli patriots, have been as willing to work with someone who had a background as a terrorist? Would she have brought this man in, with Matt, to Primatech, or to the Bennetts, regardless of what her motives were? Would the road trip have been different? Would the plot of bringing those three men - Parkman, Bennett and Radioactive Guy - to NY have been different? Would Company Man have been the same kind of story? Has Kring addressed any of this in any of the recent interviews? I've been avoiding them because I don't want to see any more S2 spoilers, but I would read for info about this.

ETA: watching 5 Years On now and the whole theme about terrorism and painting the Heroes as terrorists, I really don't think this plotline would have developed in this way had there actually *been* a radioactive terrorist in the cast...

The commentary by Tim is interesting, but I would've liked to have someone else on it with him - maybe even Tim Sale - because I feel like these kinds of commentary tracks always work better and give more info when two people are playing off each other.

Finally, ETA: I wanted to rec this Supernatural/Terminator crossover, which is set circa 1993, and which meshes the Terminator-verse with an AU of the SPN universe, wherein Mary survives and John dies in Sammy's nursery.

Gneil is possibly the most adorable thing ever and now with panda goodness!

Why exactly was Adrian in lederhosen? Is he a huge Rufus Wainwright fan?

:D

They were in Bavaria for the Heroes World Tour in connection with the dvd release. Jack Coleman wore them too, so - hee - it must be a Dad thing?

Butter! *dies laughing* That was so utterly random yet hilarious.

I am seriously getting re-pumped up for season two, what with all the new pictures of the very pretty cast hanging out and doing press stuff. Clearly the goal of the World Tour is working. :)

I loved seeing the Neil and panda pictures! Far too much cute.

The 'butter' video was really stinking funny, but I preferred the ones of Adrian and Masi in Times Square. Heh.

It was adorable and adorkable!

One nifty thing from the Kring-commentary is that they didn't actually film Masi in Times Square. They filmed him on a green screen in LA and had a crew do a 360 in NYC, then mixed them in preproduction.

Adrian and Masi, however, really did it there. Hee!

Also, if you enjoyed lederhosen, check out Adrian and Jack sporting berets in Paris. They totally seem to be on a "dress in native/cultural garment for every country" trend.
