That episode sort of redeemed all the bad ripoff eps lately.

Except that it still totally ripped off X-Men, Supermen, and 4400. But it was still good! And the ripping off was kind of more subtle! Much more like the start of the season!

Also, Peter/Sylar fight rocked!

Every single thing about this ep was perfection, except the fact that they stopped for commercials because it definitely needed another 10 minutes of content.

Oooh! That would be awesome! I really hope they do cast commentary or add some extras for this episode. It definitely could have used another 10 minutes!! I would have been happy with an extended showdown between Sylar and Peter - we can hope!!

It really is.

I mean, I love my Supernatural so much and it would probably be able to be as good as Heroes if it actually had an fx budget but Heroes gets extra points for managing so many different story-arcs and characters at once and keeping them almost entirely all interesting.

And you know what's weird? If you'd asked me three days ago what I thought of Peter/Niki?

I would've said OMGEWWWWWWWWWW!

But I loved how they did it yesterday and it worked really well and I could truly enjoy Piki. Just goes to show that if you write it well, heretofore-unbelievable ships can become enjoyable, interesting and clever.

I'm actually lame enough to count the OMG's in my post. I came up with 18 - plus the various keymashing breaks (as in, ajgdasjdghjds) and this one very big HOLY FUCKING SHIT type moment.

Hiro+Ando has always been my BFF OTP #1 but now NO ONE can claim those two aren't more canon than anything. I just a sobbing mess when I found out Ando would die, even though I totally knew it was in the cards. Wahhh!

The entire episode was amazing. I loved the fight scene at the end, with Fire against Ice powers that you don't really see because the door slams shut, just an amazing lightshow.
I'm really looking forward to the online graphic novel.
