From the Department of Backstory...
Apr. 27th, 2007 09:20 amOver on the Dean_Sam community someone's posted a portion of the upcoming Supernatural comic, and it's just...
Guh. Spoilery discussion and an image from the comic, along with
So they didn't tell Sammy what really happened to Mary, at least not when he was little; did he find out on his own by researching it - old newspapers, or even the internet circa 1996 or 1997? How much did Dean remember even if he didn't talk about it? Obviously, he overheard something from John, even if it was just Missouri's name and no other details, and he was nearly five when it happened, so there's no biological reason for him not to remember all of it, but six years later, he's lying to Sammy and refusing to tell him the truth - to protect him. Because he's the best big brother *ever*.
And Mary was killed on what was Sam's six month birthday and her birthday - her 29th if I recall the gravestone properly. Weird. And Dean knew how to drive at a very ickle age, and they had a plan for if they got separated and... and... and...
And Dean, so protective of Sammy - "I'm going to do this but you don't need to..."
Huh - there's a squirrel walking on my window. Now that is weird...
I made an icon from the comic (see below) but I don't feel right using it yet because it's technically spoilery, although I have a feeling that anyone who saw it now, but hadn't seen the comic yet, would just think it was fanart. But I'm being overcautious and overconsiderate now, possibly because it's so close to the end of the season and everyone's very spoiler-paranoid, including me, so...
Anyhow, gack the icon if you want.

On the issue of spoilers, I think it's fair to assume that looking at someone's full icons page risks exposure to spoilers, and I don't think anyone has any obligation to keep said pages spoiler-free. But it's something spoiler-phobes should be aware of, isn't it?
In terms of me, I'm rather spoiler-phobic right now for Heroes, Supernatural and Deathly Hallows, although I don't care whether I get spoilered for Doctor Who S3 at the moment, and I don't mind seeing stills for OotP: The Movie. I've caught a few spoilery bits for both Heroes and SPN, and I've seen the end-of-ep preview for both shows episodes airing next week but nothing beyond that. So I'm hoping to remain a spoiler-free zone.
Oh, and does anyone know what to do about a 2320 Error in iTunes?
