That's National Blog Posting Month, where I try to post every day in November. Last year I managed it, and hopefully this year, I will as well.

1. Halloween was terrific - we feared a tropical storm but there was no rain at all after about 4:30 and the kids had a wonderful time. For those of you who're parents - did any of you get some really old-fashioned (well, 70s style) candy from your kids' bags? I snared something that claimed to be a Sugar Mama (as well as a Sugar Daddy and two packs of Sugar Babies) but they weren't chocolate covered so I think they're a bit of a parody; my husband scooped the Razzles out of our sons' bags.

2. I'll be in Orlando next Friday & Saturday! Come hang out!

Next Friday (that's November 9) at 6 PM at Universal Studios Orlando (exact location to be announced soon), a bunch of us from HPEF and INFINITUS 2010 are going to kick off our Planning Season over libations and nibbles, so everyone can learn more about the event and Universal's Harry Potter plans while we're in town for our first site visit.

Everyone is welcome but we need you to RSVP here, here on this LiveJournal, or by emailing me so I can send you the EVITE for the event. Please, anyone in the Central Florida area - we hope to see you there, and feel free to forward the info about the event around!

3. I'm giving up my Sidekick. I got an amazing deal on a new HTC thing from Sprint, and since it doesn't seem like Apple is going to introduce that oft-rumored MacBook Nano any time soon, and since I still love the "widescreen" style and keyboard of the sidekick, but hate the limits on the mailbox size, I'm giving the sidekick up. I will miss it, but it'll be worth it to have gtalk in mobile mode!

4. I'm just going to post a never-to-be-finished micro-ficlet that I started last week and probably will never finish involving a missing scene from last week's Supernatural... )

4. On the agenda for tomorrow, hopefully finishing my first SPN vid...

ETA: OMG! Led Zep is totally cursed! They need Winchesters very, very badly!

Oh, show!
wheee, stories! )

ETA: Earlier this week, a friend of mine who's a YA librarian posted on her work-related blog with a Project to do something Nifty - I'm sure you've seen those American Library Association READ! posters featuring people like Orlando Bloom, various Buffy-sters, Neil Gaiman, etc.

She thinks that it would be absolutely brilliant and perfect if Jensen and Jared were featured on one, because Show showcases the Importance of Libraries and Reading, especially in episodes like tonight's.

Click here to learn more - or if you're too overcome by tonight's episode, you can just send an email to Rachel Johnson at rjohnson @ ala.org (without the spaces) and suggest that Jared and Jensen would make great READ spokesmen. She's the one who has the power to make that decision - or at least to ask them to do it. It would be a great promotion for the power of libraries and reading, and also, a terrific way to promote the show!

Oh, and speaking of Reading, did anyone get a copy of the new issue of SPN Origins? It's the last issue of the set, and I haven't read it yet but I hope it's good. Hope. The fact that it says "hit CW show" on the top is probably a good sign, isn't it?
