Crossposted from [livejournal.com profile] fiction_alley.

Thank you Andy and Paul and others - and the folks at Dragon.com - for fixing the IPs and initiating loading the fic content onto the new server!

The front page on FA is normal again, with a note on the top explaining what's happening and sending people to the blog, which is all good. Fics are slowly coming back online and they should all be up by Thursday, and I *think* the fic submission system should be working again... If it isn't now, it will be on Thursday (US time zone) I think...

Okay, it's working for submissions and if you're on the Queue Bypass it works, but we won't be able to send fics back for editing until the mailserver is up and that might not be til early Friday. So start submitting but know that it might take more than ten days for the fic to get online (although we're going to try and clear the whole queue before DH comes out).

Oh! And [livejournal.com profile] mudblood428 and I have uploaded some photos from the premiere here! Enjoy!

Three semifavourish fannish things:

1. A Glasgow paper is interested in interviewing a fanfic writer who's local to the area. Anyone interested? I'll need your phone number to pass on to the reporter - so replies to this post are screened.

2. If you've ever done fic intake for FictionAlley and can spare 5-20 hours in the next week to help us get through the queue as it's backed up from the server crash, let me know via a comment or by YMing or emailing me and I'll get you up to speed. This doesn't obligate you to help beyond next Thursday or Friday - and if all you can spare is five hours this weekend, that would be a big help too!

3. I thought it would be great if there was a community where people could post their reviews of Deathly Hallows, sort of to have an archive of this Moment In Time (cue Whitney Houston) that would be open from about two AM on July 21 (UK time) until the end of July 31 in Hawaii - that should catch most of the more obsessive readers, and there can be a final post that people can post reviews to in perpetuity. So I made [livejournal.com profile] hallows_reviews - it's modded for now but I'll remove the modded-posts obligation late on the 20th. I'd love to have two or three more people to help mod the comm, and maybe some help with making the comm look ok. And obviously, it'll be a potentially spoilery place. If you're interested, let me know!

Since I'm talking about both Supernatural and Harry Potter in this post, I'll use my crossover icon!

First, the reveals for [livejournal.com profile] spn_summergen happened this morning, and I wanted to thank [livejournal.com profile] krisomniac for the amazing Fourth of July-themed fic, which you can read here.

Second, my fic, A Life Between Us, was originally posted here, and this morning, I uploaded it on the LJ I set up a few weeks ago for any fics I write in 2007-and-beyond. There's some HP, some Heroes, some Supernatural and some Torchwood (and I may put some new Who up there if I finish it...), and it's [livejournal.com profile] pear_vodka (which will make sense to various wedt00bage and Drunkeater-type people).

Third, squee - [livejournal.com profile] foreword wrote an amazing ficlet featuring Barty Jr and Regulus for me this morning and you should read it here!

Fourth, [livejournal.com profile] rookie131 made these adorable icons for [livejournal.com profile] hallows_reviews:

Shay, they're gackable if people credit you, right?

[livejournal.com profile] naadi - can you AIM or YM me at around 3 Eastern US time to talk layout?

Happysigh. I'm having a much better day than I did in the early part of yesterday!
